SUMMARY:Celebrating International Women's Day
DESCRIPTION:Lisa Burling was living what most would refer to as the dream. Hugely successful global PR career\, constantly around A-list celebrities\, living in London and regularly popping over to Spain for the weekend. Money was no issue; everything you could want\, she had\, and\, she was really loving her life. \nThen\, the expectations of a woman’s age came knocking and she gave up her life and career to move back to Australia and start a family. And as life would have it\, it didn’t go to plan. She found herself with a 3-year-old and a 48-hour-old premmie baby in intensive care\, she was left as a single mum while still in hospital\, and with no job she moved home with her parents. \nRefusing to accept her new reality\, in just four short years Lisa went from an unemployed single mum to an award-winning businesswoman and entrepreneur (as Founder and MD of one of Australia’s leading PR consultancies\, LBPR)\, the creator of Australia’s first student PR consultancy\, Catalyst\, and a global ambassador for women’s entrepreneurial movements Inspiring Rare Birds and the AusMumpreneur Network. Oh\, and she’s now a published author of three books! She is an absolute inspiration on how by dreaming little\, you end up achieving the big stuff! \nCome and hear Lisa as she talks about her entrepreneurial journey and her latest book\, Dall It Takes Is A Little More Gumption – which gives you a front row seat into how she used the power of dreaming small and quickly shifted her reality from one of unexpected trauma and devastating heartbreak\, to fulfilment and opportunity. If she can do it\, you can too! \n  \n

SUMMARY:Clare-Ann Taylor
DESCRIPTION:A Woman’s Way \nInitially\, I wrote A Woman’s Way for myself; a self prescription of sorts\, to help heal my soul and refocus my mind.  However\, the beauty of this self journey has been\, that quite unexpectedly\, my musings have blossomed into a manual that I feel will benefit all women\, regardless of their circumstances or situations. \nAs women\, I believe that we need to take ourselves a little less seriously and revisit our younger selves and honour the spirit and youthfulness that we once relished. Whilst time has blessed us with storylines upon our faces and syphoned our energy stores\, we are blessed with wisdom and intuition. \n\n\n\n\nAt the beginning of this writing journey\, I set out to answer three simple\, yet in depth\, questions.  \nWho am I? \nwhy am I? \nWhere am I going? \n\n\n\n\nI believe that deep down we know who we are and why we are here but perhaps it’s the where am I going that remains somewhat blurry. Through writing A Woman’s Way\, I feel closer to answering my own three questions. Through the exploration of my childhood and the values instilled in me\, I now have a deeper understanding of who I am and what I stand for.              \nBy turning up the volume of my spark dial\, I am now more in tune with what brings me joy and keeps me focused. Regardless of the labels I wear\, consciously or subconsciously\, I feel better equipped now to face my world and contribute in positive and meaningful ways.             \nMy hope for you is simple: that you devise\, drive and delight in your own brilliance. We are unique souls; our DNA and fingerprints attest to that. \nWe were born to stand out\, as well as to coexist on this planet. As women\, we share the same air and experience the same time. However\, the world we share relies on our differences and craves our varying perspectives. This is essential for our survival and for the cycle of evolution to continue. \nABOUT CLARE-ANN \nClare-Ann has a Bachelor in Education\, a Certificate IV in Life Coaching and is an accredited Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner. She has taught in Australia\, Canada and Swaziland\, establishing strong cultural connections and mentoring programs.  \nDuring her childhood and adolescence\, she performed competitively as a dancer and acrobat\, appearing on national television and representing Australia in the Sports Acrobatics World Championships in 1989.  \nClare-Ann is a lifelong writer who first stepped into the magical world of words in Grade Six. \nClare-Ann lives and works out of her rural property in NSW\, Australia. A country girl at heart\, she shares her home with her husband\, two adult children\, both her parents and all their beloved farm animals. Born to inter racial parents during the apartheid regime in South Africa\, Clare-Ann’s family sought a new life in Australia in 1972. Still deeply connected to her roots and heritage\, she has returned to her birthplace on many occasions. In 2017\, Clare-Ann visited and subsequently funded a water tank for a rural preschool outside of Manzini\, Swaziland. \nClare-Ann prides herself on her strong work ethic\, commitment to personal growth and determination to lead by example. Happiest barefoot in her garden\, Clare-Ann has a simple philosophy on life … stamp kindness on those you meet\, so its message may be returned to sender!

SUMMARY:Creating Confidence with Content
DESCRIPTION:Confidence isn’t something that we’re all born with. And even those who appear to have it\, sometimes feel fear or doubt. It’s only natural! But we can help foster our confidence through how we present ourselves to the world and what we choose to share. Whether it’s how we choose to dress or how we choose to act or what we stand for. But how do we consciously (or unconsciously) portray this? \nIn this presentation we’ll be exploring: \nHow you can show up in the world by using the power of content to increase your confidence \nWhat to share and how to share it so it doesn’t feel ‘tacky’ \n\nAbout Mel\nMel Daniels is a Content Strategist and Coach who loves to understand ‘why’. Even past her toddler years\, she always asked why. She wanted to understand why things worked like they did\, why people acted a certain way and why she was the only one who loved peanut butter and sultana sandwiches. \nHer curiosity has lead her on an interesting life journey from academic achiever to corporate leader\, mum extraordinaire and now business owner. \nMel’s purpose is to teach and empower women who want more from their business\, on how to use content in a genuine way. She gives them the confidence they need to become more visible\, seen as the expert that they are and inspired to take their business to the next level.
